Cookie Policy — Rome Luxury Cars

Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser. Local storage and session storage work similarly but are not called cookies in the strict sense: they let a site remember something on your device between page loads, or during a single visit, without sending that information back to a server automatically.

Under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code and the Garante's cookie guidelines, any storage that is not strictly necessary for the site to function requires prior information and, in most cases, your consent. We explain below exactly what romeluxurycars.com stores and what it sends to third parties, so you can decide how to manage it.

romeluxurycars.com does not set any cookies of its own. We do not run analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts of any kind. We do not build visitor profiles and we do not sell personal data.

The two entries below, stored by the site's own code in local storage and session storage, are the only browser storage we use directly, and neither is a cookie:

• cookie_notice_closed — keeps the cookie notice from reappearing once you have closed it.
• selected_car — remembers which car you clicked on, so the enquiry form opens pre-filled with that car; it is cleared when you close the tab or send the form.

Neither entry contains your name, email, phone number, or any other contact detail.

To display text correctly, the site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. To format the phone-number field in our enquiry and airport-delivery forms, it loads a small library called intl-tel-input from the jsDelivr content delivery network.

Both are simple file requests, not tracking scripts, but like any request made over the internet they reach the provider's servers together with your IP address, because that is how the connection works. Neither Google nor jsDelivr sets a cookie for us, and we do not receive any data back from these requests beyond the font or script file itself.

The WhatsApp buttons on the site do not set any cookie or storage entry on romeluxurycars.com before you click them. When you tap one, our site briefly records the click — the page you were on, the referring page, your browser language, and the prefilled message text — in our own booking system, so our team has context when you reach us, and then opens WhatsApp in a new window or tab.

From that point, the conversation happens on WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy, which we do not control.

Our enquiry and airport-delivery forms send the information you type, together with the page URL and referrer, directly into our booking system and an internal messaging tool, so we can reply with a quote quickly. No cookie is involved in that process.

You can delete local storage and session storage, or block them entirely, through your browser settings — usually under "privacy", "site settings" or "clear browsing data". Blocking them will not stop you from browsing the site or sending an enquiry; it may only mean the cookie notice reappears, or that the car you clicked is not pre-filled in the form.

If we ever decide to add optional cookies, for example for analytics or advertising, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before any such cookie is set, in line with the Garante's guidelines.
